Proudly made in USA since 1930
Since 1930, the food service industry has been turning to Glissen Chemical Company for top quality products. Glissen Chemical was founded in Brooklyn, NY by Eugene Lehr along with his wife Annette in 1930.
Eugene’s lessons on the importance of honesty, integrity, and quality have served his son, Joe Lehr, during his own seventy-six years with Glissen since 1950 and helped build the company into a leading detergent manufacturer with distribution in 50 states and the Caribbean.

Dirty glassware kills the head on beer — and the extra servings in a barrel. Put your glassware to the challenge and request free samples.
Presentation
Your eyes taste before your mouth. A pint with lipstick stains or residue immediately creates a negative experience. A beer should have a nice aroma-producing collar of foam. A beer with no head is bad presentation.
Performance
Breweries take great pride in producing their unique products and expect them to perform perfectly with every pour. An improperly cleaned glass will alter the taste and aroma of that brew. The brewer and the brewery have their reputation on the line with every pint.
Profit
That collar of aroma-enhancing foam is not only great presentation — it also helps yield more servings from the barrel. A beer with a 2 oz head will yield 17 more servings per barrel than a dirty glass of beer with no head.
